Position Overview

MintInk Sports Cards Inc. is looking for a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Oakville retail team.

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be one of the primary faces of the MintInk brand and play an important role in creating an exceptional customer experience. This position combines customer service, sales, product knowledge, merchandising, and day-to-day store operations.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, dependable, sales-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. An interest or background in sports cards, trading card games (TCGs), collectibles, or hobby retail is an asset, but a strong retail and customer service background is equally valuable.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience

• Welcome and engage customers while providing a friendly and knowledgeable in-store experience
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products
• Drive sales through product recommendations, upselling, add-ons, and current promotions
• Develop positive relationships with both new and returning customers
• Educate customers on products, new releases, promotions, grading services, and upcoming events
• Help create an environment that encourages customers to return to MintInk

Store Operations

• Process purchases and other POS transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing sales floor
• Assist with receiving, restocking, merchandising, and maintaining product displays
• Support inventory counts, stock checks, and other inventory-related activities
• Follow company procedures relating to cash handling, product security, loss prevention, and store operations
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required

Team & Brand Support

• Work collaboratively with store management and other team members
• Support the team during busy periods, product releases, promotions, and special events
• Stay informed about MintInk products, services, promotions, and events
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the MintInk brand positively at all times
• Complete additional retail duties and projects as assigned by store management

Qualifications

• Previous retail, sales, hospitality, or customer-facing experience is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident engaging customers and contributing to sales goals
• Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to learn new products, systems, and procedures
• Experience or knowledge of sports cards, TCGs, collectibles, or the hobby industry is considered an asset
• Previous experience with Shopify POS or a similar retail POS system is an asset

Availability

This is a Full-Time position requiring flexible availability based on business needs.

Candidates must be available to work a combination of:

• Weekdays
• Evenings
• Weekends
• Holidays and special retail events as required

Compensation

Starting rate: $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
