About the role

GENTLE MONSTER is a global fashion eyewear brand recognized for its distinctive design, experimental retail spaces, and creative campaigns. Together with fragrance brand TAMBURINS and dessert brand NUDAKE, GENTLE MONSTER is part of IICOMBINED.

GENTLE MONSTER is seeking a Paid Media Operations & Performance Analyst who combines hands-on media buying experience across Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads with strong quantitative analysis and consumer research skills to support our U.S. and Canada business.

You will personally build, launch, and optimize campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, analyze customer behavior in GA4, build dashboards in Looker Studio / Google Data Studio, and configure social listening queries and reports in Talkwalker, Brandwatch, or comparable platforms.

The ideal candidate can investigate why performance changed, validate the underlying data, and translate findings into specific campaign, creative, audience, and budget decisions. Knowledge of TikTok, Reddit, and Pinterest advertising will support broader platform testing.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Media Buying & Optimization

  • Meta Ads Manager: Build campaigns, ad sets, and ads, including objectives, prospecting and retargeting audiences, placements, budgets, bidding, creative, copy, and tracking. Manage catalog campaigns and troubleshoot product-set or delivery issues.
  • Google Ads: Build and optimize Search, Performance Max, and Shopping campaigns. Manage keywords, match types, search terms, negative keywords, bidding, ad copy, assets, and product groups.
  • Review Google Merchant Center, TikTok Shop, and Meta Commerce Manager product feeds and product set management, monitor platform health, identify issues, and coordinate inventory status with the E-commerce Merchandising team.
  • Monitor performance daily and implement adjustments directly within advertising accounts, aligning spend with launches, inventory, sales targets, and acquisition efficiency.
  • Support campaigns and testing across TikTok Ads, Reddit Ads, and Pinterest Ads, adapting execution to each platform.

GA4, Dashboard Development & Data Analysis

  • Use GA4 reports and Explorations to analyze acquisition, traffic quality, landing pages, shopping funnels, conversion, and revenue across paid and other marketing channels.
  • Build dashboards from scratch in Looker Studio / Google Data Studio, including connecting data sources, creating calculated fields, and configuring filters, date comparisons, and reporting views.
  • Combine advertising, GA4, e-commerce, search, and social listening data where available to connect campaign performance with customer behavior and product demand.
  • Clean, reconcile, and analyze large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets to identify performance drivers across campaigns, audiences, products, markets, and time periods.
  • Investigate discrepancies between advertising platforms, GA4, and sales reporting, accounting for attribution differences, conversion lag, and tracking limitations.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reporting that explains what changed, the likely causes, and the actions to take.

Social Listening & Consumer Research

  • Create and refine social listening queries in Talkwalker, Brandwatch, or equivalent platforms, including keywords, Boolean logic, exclusions, and relevant market or language filters.
  • Build dashboards and reports tracking brand sentiment, share of voice, emerging topics, product conversations, and competitor activity.
  • Review underlying conversations to validate automated sentiment and remove irrelevant results.
  • Combine qualitative insights from reviews, social conversations, customer feedback, and survey responses with quantitative campaign and website data.
  • Translate findings into audience hypotheses, ad messaging, creative briefs, product priorities, and landing-page improvements.

Budget Planning & Structured Testing

  • Build and maintain Excel budget-pacing and forecasting models, tracking spend, remaining budget, month-end projections, and variance to plan.
  • Use PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and multi-step formulas to maintain accurate reporting.
  • Recommend and implement approved budget allocations based on performance, growth opportunities, and business priorities.
  • Develop structured tests for audiences, creative, messaging, bidding, and landing pages.
  • Evaluate results with attention to sample size, seasonality, conversion lag, and commercial impact; document findings and next steps.

Search Visibility & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Use Semrush and Google Search Console to research search intent, competitor visibility, keyword opportunities, and content gaps.
  • Support SEO and GEO initiatives by monitoring search visibility, brand mentions in AI-generated answers, and identifiable AI referral traffic.
  • Partner with creative, merchandising, website, HQ, and agency teams to apply findings and improve campaign execution, measurement, and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional hands-on paid media experience, ideally 2–4+ years with consumer brands or e-commerce businesses.
  • Direct experience personally building, launching, and optimizing campaigns in both Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, including Google Search, Performance Max, and Shopping.
  • Strong GA4 skills, including acquisition analysis, Explorations, e-commerce funnels, conversion, and revenue reporting.
  • Experience independently building Looker Studio / Google Data Studio dashboards, including data connections, calculated fields, filters, and period comparisons.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience building budget-pacing models, forecasts, and reports from large datasets.
  • Hands-on social listening experience with Talkwalker, Brandwatch, or a comparable platform, including configuring queries, dashboards, and reports.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning and practical experience using data to make campaign and budget decisions.
  • Candidates should demonstrate the ability to analyze complex datasets, evaluate campaign results, and independently implement optimizations within advertising platforms.
  • Background in statistics, mathematics, economics, data science, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred, alongside practical paid media experience.
  • In-house performance marketing experience with a consumer brand, particularly fashion, luxury, beauty, or lifestyle.
  • Hands-on advertising experience across TikTok, Reddit, and Pinterest.
  • Practical experience with Semrush, Google Search Console, SEO, and GEO.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Power Query for data preparation, reporting automation, or deeper analysis.
