Department: Catering - Walled Garden Restaurant

Supporting the preparation and presentation of meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a passion of cooking and experience in catering or restaurant settings, with a keen eye for detail and organisation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable kitchen experience. Duties include;

• Assisting in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to specified recipes and standards
• Support the cooking process by following instructions from head chefs or kitchen managers
• Ensuring all food safety protocols are adhered to during preparation and handling of ingredients
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of workstations, utensils, and equipment
• Help with portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes for service
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Hours: Full & Part Time Positions Available

Requirements: Successful applicants should be friendly, honest and reliable, with the ability to work both alone and as part of a wider fast paced catering team. Previous knowledge and experience of catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable, with familiarity of food safety and hygiene standards. Communication skills to collaborate with colleagues along with strong knowledge of food prep techniques and meal assembly are key. The ability to be flexible, with weekend working on a rota basis is essential.
