The Director of Ecommerce & Digital Experience will lead SUPER73’s North American digital commerce business, with ownership of ecommerce revenue, gross margin, conversion, customer acquisition efficiency, and the overall online customer experience across SUPER73.com and Amazon.
This is a commercial leadership role, not simply a website-management or marketing position. The Director will be responsible for turning brand awareness and community interest into qualified traffic, bike and accessory sales, stronger attachment rates, repeat purchases, and long-term customer value. The role will oversee the capabilities that shape the digital customer journey, including site experience, ecommerce merchandising, Amazon channel management, product launches, promotional planning, performance marketing, content deployment, customer retention, analytics, forecasting, and agency management. The Director will establish clear priorities and operating rhythms across these functions, working with a lean internal team and specialized external partners. Because purchasing a SUPER73 is a considered decision with important service, education, financing, and ownership components, this leader must connect the online experience with retail, dealers, distributors, customer service, service operations, and the broader rider community. This includes ensuring that growth through SUPER73.com and Amazon supports, rather than undermines, our wholesale partnerships and overall channel strategy.
The Director will partner closely with SUPER73’s Founder and Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing Director, Sales, Product, Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, Technology, and international teams. This position reports to the CEO and is based at SUPER73’s headquarters in Irvine, California.
Why we need this role:
We need this role to give our digital commerce business clear ownership and accountability, connecting brand, marketing, merchandising, technology, Amazon, and customer experience to turn demand into profitable growth while balancing our direct business with the health of our dealer and distribution partnerships.
What you will own:
- Own the North American digital commerce business, with accountability for revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, conversion, average order value, customer acquisition cost, and profitable growth across SUPER73.com and Amazon.
- Develop and execute an ecommerce strategy that balances near-term revenue performance with long-term brand health, pricing integrity, customer value, and the strength of SUPER73’s wholesale partnerships.
- Lead the ecommerce operating plan, including annual targets, forecasts, promotional calendars, product launches, inventory priorities, marketing investments, and channel performance.
- Own the customer journey across SUPER73.com, from product discovery and education through financing, conversion, delivery, service, accessories, and repeat purchase.
- Improve site navigation, product presentation, merchandising, landing pages, checkout performance, financing visibility, lead capture, and mobile usability.
- Partner with Brand and Creative to translate SUPER73’s identity, storytelling, product launches, and community into a digital experience that is both distinctive and commercially effective.
- Lead paid acquisition and performance-marketing strategy across internal resources and external agencies, with clear expectations for traffic quality, attribution, CAC, ROAS, and incremental revenue.
- Build a stronger retention and lifecycle-marketing program across email, SMS, accessories, service, referrals, loyalty, and customer reengagement.
- Increase attachment rate and customer lifetime value through thoughtful accessory merchandising, bundles, post-purchase communications, service offerings, and ownership programs.
- Own the strategy, execution, and day-to-day management of SUPER73’s Amazon business, using the channel selectively to reach new customers, support targeted products and inventory objectives, and drive profitable growth.
- Define Amazon assortment, pricing, merchandising, advertising, content, inventory, fulfillment, forecasting, and performance expectations in coordination with Sales, Operations, Finance, Brand, and Customer Experience.
- Protect pricing integrity and brand presentation across Amazon and other digital channels while actively managing channel conflict among dealer partners, distributors, owned retail, and the direct-to-consumer business.
- Establish clear rules of engagement for products, promotions, pricing, inventory allocation, and customer segmentation across Amazon, SUPER73.com, retail, and wholesale channels.
- Partner with the Sales team to ensure ecommerce decisions account for dealer economics, market coverage, inventory commitments, and the long-term health of our B2B relationships.
- Use customer behavior, channel performance, inventory availability, product margin, and demand signals to improve merchandising and investment decisions.
- Establish clear weekly and monthly reporting across sessions, conversion, average order value, CAC, ROAS, retention, attachment rate, gross margin, inventory sell-through, customer cohorts, Amazon performance, and channel profitability.
- Partner with Finance and Operations to improve forecasting, inventory productivity, margin management, and the connection between orders, fulfillment, invoicing, and recognized revenue.
- Collaborate with Retail, Wholesale, Customer Experience, and Service to create a more connected omnichannel experience, including test rides, local support, dealer fulfillment, and post-purchase care.
- Work with international ecommerce and distribution leaders to share learnings, align core systems, and adapt the customer experience to regional market needs.
- Manage ecommerce technology, analytics, performance-marketing, marketplace, and digital-experience partners while holding agencies and vendors accountable for measurable business outcomes.
- Lead and develop a lean, capable team with clear ownership, measurable expectations, consistent coaching, and strong cross-functional relationships.
What you bring:
- 10+ years of progressive ecommerce or digital-commerce experience, including meaningful leadership responsibility for a consumer-facing D2C business.
- Experience with premium lifestyle, outdoor, action-sports, automotive, mobility, apparel, or other considered-purchase consumer brands.
- Demonstrated ownership of an ecommerce P&L or equivalent commercial responsibility, including revenue, gross margin, customer acquisition investment, and contribution profitability.
- Direct experience developing and managing an Amazon strategy, including assortment, pricing, merchandising, advertising, fulfillment, inventory planning, content, analytics, and marketplace operations.
- Experience balancing owned ecommerce, marketplaces, retail, and wholesale channels without creating unnecessary pricing pressure or damaging important channel partnerships.
- A record of growing ecommerce revenue without relying solely on discounting or increasingly aggressive promotional activity.
- Strong working knowledge of ecommerce merchandising, site experience, product launches, performance marketing, customer retention, analytics, forecasting, and digital operations.
- The ability to distinguish brand storytelling from commercial execution and connect the two without compromising either.
- Strong analytical judgment and fluency in KPIs including sessions, conversion rate, AOV, CAC, ROAS, LTV, attachment rate, retention, attribution, gross margin, inventory sell-through, and channel profitability.
- Experience leading outside agencies and specialized partners, with the ability to evaluate performance, challenge assumptions, and redirect investment when results do not meet expectations.
- Experience improving the customer journey for higher-consideration products where education, financing, fulfillment, service, and customer confidence materially affect conversion.
- A strong understanding of omnichannel commerce and how ecommerce and Amazon should complement owned retail, wholesale partners, service networks, events, and physical product experiences.
- The ability to operate effectively in a founder-led brand, building trust across creative and commercial teams while introducing greater accountability and operating discipline.
- A hands-on leadership style and comfort operating within a lean organization where strategy and execution are closely connected.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to align Creative, Marketing, Product, Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, and Technology around shared commercial priorities.
- Must be based in, or willing to commute regularly to, Irvine, California due to the onsite leadership expectations of the role.
