The Ecommerce Executive keeps the Numeris website and app running smoothly day to day. You will update the site, build pages, support the loyalty programme, help customer service and keep stock moving between the warehouse and the website, working closely with the Head of Ecommerce.
Role: Ecommerce Executive
Reports to: Head of Ecommerce
Team: Ecommerce & customer service
Location: Office-based, Swansea
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Up to £34,000 + 15% bonus tied to website performance targets
This is a hands-on role for someone who treats the website like a shop floor: always tidy, always stocked, and always looking for ways to sell more.
Key responsibilities
Website, theme and app
- Manage the Shopify store day to day, including products, collections, navigation, banners and homepage content.
- Upload new products with accurate titles, descriptions, images, prices and SEO details.
- Make small theme edits and log bugs or change requests for developers, then test fixes before they go live.
- Keep the app up to date with the latest products, banners and content, and check it works properly after each update.
- Check the site and app regularly for broken links, errors and anything that gets in the way of a sale.
Web design and UX
- Build landing pages and on-site campaign content using the Shopify theme and approved designs.
- Set up and monitor A/B tests agreed with the Head of Ecommerce, and report back on the results.
- Review site search, analytics and customer feedback to flag UX issues and suggest improvements.
Visual merchandising
- Merchandise the homepage, categories and search results so priority products are easy to find.
- Update on-site visuals for promotions, launches and peak periods such as Black Friday and Christmas.
- Make sure product imagery and copy meet our brand standards.
Loyalty
- Manage the loyalty platform day to day, including rewards, points rules and how loyalty shows on the site and app.
- Help loyalty members with questions and issues about their points or rewards.
- Pull loyalty reports for the Head of Ecommerce.
Customer service
- Support the customer service team at busy times, answering emails, live chat and social messages.
- Spot recurring issues in customer contacts, such as a confusing product page or a delivery problem, and flag them or fix them.
- Keep FAQs, delivery and returns information on the site accurate and up to date.
Warehouse and fulfilment
- Track inbound deliveries with the warehouse so new stock is booked in and live on site on time.
- Monitor outbound orders and chase any that are delayed, stuck or missing.
- Keep stock levels on the site in line with the warehouse, and flag discrepancies quickly.
Reporting
- Produce weekly website, app and customer service reports for the Head of Ecommerce.
- Make sure tracking is accurate across GA4 and Shopify.
Skills and experience
Essential
- 1–2+ years in an ecommerce role, managing a live online store.
- Hands-on Shopify experience, including products, collections, discounts and apps.
- Strong attention to detail: you notice a wrong price or a broken image before a customer does.
- A good eye for design and how a page should look and feel.
- Friendly, clear written communication for dealing with customers.
- Working knowledge of GA4 and comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Organised and proactive, able to juggle launches, customer queries and day-to-day updates.
Desirable
- Basic HTML, CSS or Shopify Liquid for small theme edits.
- Experience with a loyalty platform such as Smile, LoyaltyLion or Yotpo.
- Experience with customer service tools such as Gorgias or Zendesk.
