Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as Cinematographer across campaign, product feature, lifestyle, social, and internal productions.

  • Direct talent and interviews when appropriate, shaping performance, pacing, and visual storytelling to achieve the intended creative vision.
  • Exercise sound creative and technical judgment while independently solving production challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Partner closely with Creative Directors, Producers, Editors, Marketing Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout production.
  • Provide creative oversight throughout post-production, working closely with editors to ensure the final edit, pacing, visual continuity, and overall image quality faithfully execute the intended creative vision.
  • Perform DIT responsibilities, including media offload, checksum verification, file organization, backup, and archiving to ensure secure, production-ready media management.
  • Manage review and collaboration workflows using Frame.io and related cloud-based production tools.
  • Lead the color finishing process by establishing the visual look of each project, performing color correction and grading when appropriate, developing project-specific LUTs, and ensuring consistent image quality across all deliverables.
  • Integrate AI tools and emerging technologies into production workflows, including concept development, storyboarding, virtual production, image generation, compositing, environment creation, and production optimization.
  • Continually evaluate new production technologies and recommend workflows that improve creative quality, efficiency, and the studio's overall capabilities.
  • Maintain, organize, and manage cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, grip, audio, and production equipment, ensuring all gear is production-ready and recommending future equipment investments.
  • Uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship, production quality, organization, and on-set safety.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating exceptional cinematography, lighting, visual storytelling, and high-end production quality.
  • Advanced expertise in professional cinema cameras, lighting systems, grip, audio, camera movement, and production workflows.
  • Proven ability to independently execute productions while working effectively with minimal crew in a highly hands-on production environment.
  • Strong understanding of editorial workflows, visual continuity, color management, and professional color grading.
  • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools and AI-assisted production workflows, with the ability to quickly evaluate and adopt emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple productions while maintaining exceptional creative and technical standards.
