Job Overview

Hawai'i's Finest is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Seasonal Sales & Customization Associates to join our team during the busy holiday season.

This position combines traditional retail sales and customer service with hands-on product customization and production. Associates will assist customers with purchasing in-store merchandise while also helping create customized apparel and merchandise using equipment such as DTG printers, Ricoma embroidery machines, heat presses, and Mimaki printing machines.

Associates will work closely with our in-house graphic designers to fulfill custom customer orders and produce merchandise needed to replenish store inventory. Training on equipment and production procedures will be provided upon hire. Previous printing, embroidery, production, or retail experience is preferred but not required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers, create a welcoming shopping experience, answer questions, identify customer needs, and provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance.
  • Product Knowledge & Sales: Develop knowledge of Hawai'i's Finest products and services, recommend merchandise and customization options, introduce promotions and new products, and contribute toward store sales goals.
  • Custom Orders: Assist customers with customized merchandise orders and accurately communicate order details to the appropriate team members. Contact customers when completed orders are ready for pickup.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the point-of-sale system, process purchases and payments, and issue receipts accurately.
  • DTG Printing: Operate the DTG printer to print approved designs provided by our graphic designers onto T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, and other merchandise. Perform required daily cleaning and basic machine maintenance.
  • Embroidery: Operate Ricoma embroidery equipment to customize hats, T-shirts, hoodies, and other merchandise. Perform basic machine maintenance, including changing needles, threads, and other necessary components.
  • Mimaki Printing: Operate Mimaki printing equipment to produce signs, banners, stickers, and other printed materials. Responsibilities may include changing ink and print media, cleaning the equipment, and completing routine maintenance.
  • Heat Press: Safely operate heat press equipment to apply approved designs and graphics to apparel and other merchandise.
  • Inventory & Production: Monitor stock levels, replenish merchandise as needed, and use appropriate equipment to produce or restock store inventory.
  • Merchandising: Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing merchandise displays and ensure the sales floor remains presentable.
  • Returns & Exchanges: Process eligible returns and exchanges accurately and in accordance with Hawai'i's Finest policies.
  • Equipment Care & Workspace: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area and follow all training, operating procedures, and equipment maintenance requirements.
  • Team Support: Work collaboratively with sales associates, management, graphic designers, and other team members to complete customer orders and meet store needs, especially during high-volume holiday periods.

Qualifications

  • Retail, customer service, printing, embroidery, apparel production, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable learning and operating printing, embroidery, and production equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when completing customized customer orders.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established equipment and safety procedures.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mind
