Midoco Art & Office Supplies is now hiring three (3) Seasonal Sales Associates -- one for each of our Bloor, Danforth, and Queen locations!

This is one shared seasonal job description; however, expected weekly hours vary by primary location:

Annex Location: approximately 30-40 hours per week (4-5 shifts). Projected schedule includes Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays.

Danforth Location: approximately 30-40 hours per week (4-5 shifts). Projected schedule includes Mondays, Wednesdays & Sundays.

Queen Location: approximately 22-30 hours per week (3-4 shifts). Projected schedule includes Mondays, Saturdays & Sundays.

Peak holiday availability: Seasonal employees at all three locations should expect their schedules to increase as Christmas approaches, with 5 shifts (approximately 40 hours) expected during the final week leading up to Christmas.

Pay Rate: $17.95 hourly

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance with product selection.
• Process transactions accurately & efficiently using the point-of-sale system
• Maintain an organized, well-stocked and visually appealing store environment
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and merchandising displays
• Collaborate with team members & other locations, and contribute to a positive shopping environment

Qualifications & Assets:

• Retail & Customer Service experience
• Cash Handling and POS experience is an asset
• Interest in Stationery, Creative Materials, and Visual Arts experience is a strong asset
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• This position requires physical activity to perform the essential duties of the role, including occasional lifting to ~35lb, standing for extended periods, and regularly ascending and descending stairs to retrieve stock and access employee facilities, including washrooms.
• Applicants should have flexible availability. While each position has a primary location, seasonal employees may occasionally be scheduled at another Midoco location based on operational needs.
