About the Role

We are looking for a Recipe Developer who can cook, teach, and create on camera. You will develop and adapt recipes for the American kitchen, bring them to life through photo & video, and run our test kitchen with the same care you put into a finished plate.

This role sits on the Marketing team and works closely with the Vorwerk Global Recipe Center, the Cookidoo® team, and our field leadership. Every recipe you write has one job: to work beautifully in someone else's home, the first time.

Key Responsibilities

Recipe Development

  • Create, test, and refine recipes for Thermomix® TM7™ that reflect how Americans cook and eat today, from weeknight dinners to seasonal entertaining.
  • Adapt recipes from the Vorwerk Global Recipe Center for the US market, including US measurements, locally available ingredients, and regional tastes.
  • Develop recipes for a range of dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free.
  • Write clear, precise instructions that work for first-time owners and experienced cooks alike, following Thermomix publishing standards.
  • Build US recipe collections for Cookidoo® and for seasonal marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and test recipes for accessories and complementary products in partnership with Merchandising.

Content Planning & Execution

  • Plan and present short-form video on ingredient preparation, accessory use, cooking techniques, and practical tips.
  • Partner with videographers, photographers and agencies on storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules.
  • Create recipe content for social, email, and Consultant training that is useful first and beautiful always.
  • Hold every piece of content to Thermomix brand standards for quality, style, and tone.

Field and Brand Support

  • Develop demo recipes and cooking experiences that Consultants can use with confidence in customer demos.
  • Bring culinary expertise to product launches, trainings, field events, and national conferences.
  • Represent Thermomix at press, influencer, and partner events as needed.

Test Kitchen Operations

  • Manage ingredient and equipment inventory, procurement, supplier relationships, purchase orders, and budget tracking for the test kitchen.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and food-safe, and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate logistics for onsite shoots, meetings, and events, including catering and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate ingredient and utensil data in the recipe platform.

Culinary Insight

  • Track food trends, seasonal moments, and competitor activity.
  • Bring forward ideas that connect what people are cooking to Thermomix and to the marketing calendar.

Key Competencies

  • 3+ years of experience in recipe development, culinary content, a test kitchen, or a professional kitchen.
  • A culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Comfort on camera and a natural ability to teach.
  • Excellent writing skills and real precision with measurements, timing, and instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with experience managing inventory, vendors, and budgets.
  • ServSafe Food Manager certification, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Thermomix® or other connected kitchen appliances.
  • Experience with a direct selling or community-driven brand.
  • Food styling, photography, or basic video editing skills.

Who Thrives Here

We hire for three qualities, and we look for them in every conversation.

  • Humble. You care more about a recipe working in someone else's kitchen than about the credit for it. You welcome feedback from a colleague, a Consultant, or a customer.
  • Hungry. You go past the brief. You notice what is missing and fix it before anyone asks.
  • Smart. You read the room. You know when to be exact and when to be warm, whether you are writing a recipe or presenting to a room of Consultants.

Key Relationships

  • Internal: Marketing team, Vorwerk Global Recipe Center, Cookidoo® team, Merchandising, and field leadership including Team Leaders, Branch Managers, and Consultants.
  • External: Video and photography agencies, suppliers, and PR and influencer partners.

Why Join Thermomix USA

This role puts you at the center of how people discover what Thermomix® can do. The recipes you develop become the first meal a new owner cooks, the dish a Consultant shares in a demo, and the recipe someone saves for Sunday. You will shape how food, product, and storytelling come together in the American kitchen, and see your work in homes, on Cookidoo®, and in the hands of Consultants across the country.

Equal Opportunity

Thermomix USA is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome candidates of every background and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
