About the role

Are you ready to shape the ads that introduce Kit & Kin to thousands of new customers?

Co-founded by Spice Girl Emma Bunton, Kit & Kin is a certified B Corp creating everyday essentials for families, with award-winning baby and cleaning products sold through DTC, Amazon and retail channels.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Performance Creative Strategist to own our paid social creative strategy, track and analyse ad performance, and turn those insights into stronger advertising.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines creative thinking with analytical confidence and wants real ownership, autonomy and impact within a growing ecommerce brand.

THE ROLE:

You’ll take ownership of the creative development and performance analysis behind our paid social advertising, with Meta as your primary focus.

You’ll be accountable for understanding which ads, hooks, messages and formats are working, which are underperforming and what we should do next. You’ll use those findings to develop successful formats further, improve weaker concepts and identify fresh creative opportunities.

Working closely with our Senior Performance Marketing Manager, internal creative team and external creators, you’ll take ideas from customer insight through scripting, briefing, production and testing. You’ll help us make more of our founder, expert, creator and product content across nappies, wipes, skincare and cleaning.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys writing a compelling script as much as analysing the results. You’ll own creative reporting and recommendations, partnering with performance marketing to translate better creative into more efficient customer acquisition.

RESPONSABILITIES:

Creative performance tracking and analysis

  • Own our ad creative performance tracker and weekly reporting, clearly identifying what is working, what isn’t and the recommended next steps.
  • Establish consistent naming and tagging to compare performance by concept, format, hook, message, creator and product.
  • Analyse CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, click-through rate and video engagement alongside spend to understand commercial outcomes and where ads lose attention.
  • Investigate results with our Senior Performance Marketing Manager, accounting for differences in audience, placement, offer, landing page and the amount of data available.
  • Identify emerging winners and signs of creative fatigue, and turn findings into prioritised recommendations and production briefs.

Creative strategy and testing

  • Own a creative testing roadmap aligned with commercial priorities, product launches, and production capacity.
  • Define clear hypotheses and agree success measures for each test with performance marketing.
  • Develop successful formats further through new hooks, scripts, creators, lengths and product angles.
  • Diagnose underperforming creative and recommend specific improvements, further testing or retirement.
  • Document results and learnings so each round of creative builds on the last.

Concepts, copy and production

  • Research customer reviews, surveys, social comments and customer service feedback to uncover motivations, objections and opportunities.
  • Develop concepts for video, static and carousel ads, including demonstrations, testimonials, founder stories, expert advice and offers.
  • Work with a copywriter to create compelling hooks, scripts, headlines and calls to action that communicate product benefits clearly in our brand voice.
  • Brief creators, copywriters, editors and designers with clear direction on the audience, message, opening, footage and intended test.
  • Plan scripts and shot lists for founder, expert and product shoots, and repurpose existing footage into fresh ads.
  • Give actionable feedback on storytelling, pacing, visuals and messaging, keeping production moving to agreed deadlines.
  • Ensure creative follows our product claims and brand guidelines, with appropriate usage permissions confirmed.
  • Stay informed about competitor advertising, platform developments and emerging formats to identify relevant opportunities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years’ relevant experience in performance creative strategy, paid social or a related role within an ecommerce brand or agency.
  • Proven experience developing paid social creative for DTC or ecommerce brands, particularly on Meta.
  • Hands-on experience using Meta Ads Manager to track, analyse and compare performance at ad level.
  • A portfolio demonstrating how you have used results to improve creative, with clear examples of your contribution and the impact.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including confidence with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • A sound understanding of CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion and video engagement metrics, including their limitations.
  • Experience designing creative tests and translating findings into new concepts and iterations.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to write engaging hooks and natural, persuasive scripts.
  • Experience briefing creators, video editors and designers and providing constructive creative feedback.
  • Strong commercial understanding of customer acquisition and the role of creative in ecommerce growth.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to take ownership and challenge assumptions.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience with subscription ecommerce businesses or family, skincare and household products.
  • Experience with TikTok creative, creator partnership ads or directing shoots.
  • Understanding of landing page messaging and conversion rate optimisation.
  • Practical video editing or design skills.
  • Experience using AI tools to support research, ideation, analysis or production workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL GET:

  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Fully remote work with monthly meetings in London.
  • 40% staff discount across Kit & Kin products.
  • Regular team socials.
  • Statutory pension scheme.
  • Significant autonomy and ownership.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in scaling a purpose-driven brand.
