Paid Media Manager

About the role

Anyone can read a dashboard. We need someone who knows what to do next.

Case-Mate is looking for a Paid Media Manager with real hands-on Meta and Google experience, sharp DTC instincts, and the confidence to challenge the room when the numbers—or the agency recommendations—don’t add up. You’ll help shape how we invest $500K+ each month, connect media performance to real business results, and influence the testing, creative, and channel decisions that drive growth.

You’ve spent years inside the platforms. Now you’re ready to move beyond pulling levers and help decide which levers actually matter. This is your opportunity to step into a more strategic role, work closely with our VP of E-Commerce, and grow into greater ownership of our agency relationships, budgets, and paid media strategy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Oversight

  • Work alongside the VP of E-Commerce to evaluate and guide agency/vendor strategy across Meta/Instagram, Google Ads, and other emerging ad platforms
  • Review agency recommendations and campaign plans critically, using hands-on background to spot what's working and what isn't
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual paid media planning, including channel mix and budget allocation recommendations
  • Evaluate new platforms, agencies, and vendor options as the program evolves

Budget & Forecasting

  • Support monthly and quarterly budget pacing and forecasting across $500K+ in monthly spend
  • Partner with finance and leadership on revenue and spend targets, flagging risks and opportunities early
  • Track spend efficiency across channels and recommend reallocation based on performance

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor performance against key metrics (ROAS, MER, CAC, CPA, LTV) and translate results into clear strategic recommendations
  • Report on channel and campaign performance to the VP of E-Commerce, with a point of view on what to change
  • Stay current on platform updates (iOS/privacy changes, new ad formats, algorithm shifts) and translate them into strategic guidance for agency partners
  • Partner with analytics/data teams to ensure tracking, attribution, and measurement infrastructure support accurate decision-making
  • Evaluate testing results (creative, audience, bidding strategy) and translate them into clear direction for agency execution

Creative Collaboration

  • Collaborate with creative/design teams to guide ad creative direction and testing priorities
  • Continuously optimize the system between teams that drives revenue growth

Growth & Development

  • As familiarity and judgment grow, take on increasing ownership of vendor negotiations, agency selection, and channel strategy

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hands-on paid media experience: minimum of 4 years personally building, running, and optimizing campaigns in Meta and Google Ads, not just managing others who did
  • Background in E-commerce/DTC: understands the customer journey from ad click to purchase, not just impressions and clicks
  • Comfortable operating both tactically and strategically day-to-day: reviewing and challenging agency recommendations rather than executing campaigns directly with the ambition to take on more of those relationships and budget conversations over time
  • Strong analytical skills: fluent in interpreting performance data (ROAS, CAC, AOV, LTV) and translating it into action
  • Experience with e-commerce/analytics tools: direct Triple Whale experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills: able to explain performance and strategy to non-marketing stakeholders and to represent the brand in agency/vendor conversations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-6+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or e-commerce relevant to the role
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of experience in Marketing, Advertising, PR or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with digital analytics platforms
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to generate ideas and execute efficiently
