The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager – Marketing eCommerce Operations to manage the operational execution supporting our eCommerce marketing and revenue activities.
The role will work closely with Marketing, Media Buying, Creative, Payments, Finance, Customer Support, and Suppliers to ensure products, campaigns, offers, websites, and operational workflows are launch-ready and perform efficiently.
The ideal candidate combines eCommerce operations knowledge with strong project management, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
What You'll Do:
1. Marketing & eCommerce Operations
- Coordinate the operational execution of product launches, promotions, offers, and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure products, pricing, offers, landing pages, tracking, and supporting operational requirements are ready before campaigns go live.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Media Buying teams on campaign requirements, timelines, and operational dependencies.
- Monitor campaign-related operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
2. Product & Supplier Operations
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability, pricing, product information, fulfillment capability, and promotional requirements are aligned with marketing plans.
- Maintain accurate product, supplier, pricing, and operational information across internal systems.
- Identify potential supply, fulfillment, or product issues that could impact marketing campaigns or customer experience.
- Support onboarding and ongoing performance management of suppliers.
3. Campaign & Performance Coordination
- Track operational KPIs that impact marketing performance, including order volume, cancellations, refunds, fulfillment issues, product availability, and customer complaints.
- Work with Marketing and Finance to identify operational factors affecting CPA, CAC, ROAS, revenue, and contribution margin.
- Provide regular operational insights and reports to the CFO/Founder.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
4. Cross-Functional Operations
- Act as the operational bridge between Marketing, Payments, Finance, Customer Support, and Suppliers.
- Coordinate timelines, dependencies, and issue resolution across teams.
- Ensure marketing initiatives are operationally feasible before execution.
- Escalate high-impact issues and delays to the CFO/Founder.
5. Process & Systems Management
- Build and maintain SOPs for marketing and eCommerce operational workflows.
- Improve processes related to product launches, campaign setup, order flows, supplier coordination, and issue management.
- Maintain accurate operational data across CRM, eCommerce, project management, and reporting systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
- 7–10 years of experience in eCommerce operations, marketing operations, DTC, performance marketing operations, or a related field.
- Experience supporting eCommerce marketing campaigns, product launches, and revenue operations.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between marketing activities and downstream eCommerce operations.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers, fulfillment partners, payment teams, and internal business functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience working with operational data.
- Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Deal Breakers:
- Experience with Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms.
- Experience supporting Meta, Google, TikTok, or other paid acquisition channels from an operational perspective.
- Experience with DTC brands, dropshipping, or performance-driven eCommerce.
- Familiarity with CRM, analytics, project management, and marketing technology platforms.
- Experience working in a startup or lean eCommerce environment.
