About the role

We are looking for an NPD (New Product Development) Account Manager to take responsibility for one of our key private label customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced NPD or Account Manager to take ownership of an important customer relationship and manage the development of exciting new bath and body products from initial idea through to final delivery.

We work closely with this customer to ensure they receive excellent products, service and delivery, and we are now looking for someone to take over from a much-loved colleague who is retiring. We are looking for someone who can build on that strong relationship and continue to provide our client with the first-class service, partnership and attention to detail they have come to expect from us.

As NPD Account Manager, you will oversee the entire product development lifecycle for this important customer. Working collaboratively with their team, you will take their ideas, alongside our own expertise and creativity, and turn them into commercially exciting products as part of their twice-yearly new product launches.

You will be responsible for developing proposals, managing costs and timelines, coordinating the critical path and ensuring every element of the project is delivered on time and to the required standard. You will work closely with a wide range of internal and external partners, including our fragrance house, artworkers, formulators, suppliers, manufacturers, regulatory team and shipping partners.

This is a varied, fast-paced role that requires someone who is highly organised, commercially minded and able to build strong relationships, while also having an eye for great products and an understanding of what makes a successful launch.

  • Create and manage detailed critical paths, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and product launches simultaneously.
  • Work closely with our fragrance house, formulators, artworkers, regulatory team, suppliers and shipping partners.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed of progress, challenges and required actions.
  • Ensure products are commercially compelling, on-brand and delivered to the agreed quality, cost and timescale.
  • Provide a consistently high level of customer service and act as a trusted partner to the client.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in NPD or project management , ideally within a product-led environment.
  • Experience within personal care, beauty, cosmetics or FMCG would be highly beneficial, although NPD experience in another sector will be considered.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to see projects through from concept to completion.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of what makes a product successful in the marketplace.
  • A creative mindset and an enthusiasm for developing new and exciting products.
