About the role
Have an eye for detail, a creative streak and a love of beautiful imagery? We're looking for a Junior Studio & Image Assistant to help bring Rockett St George's products to life.
Working with our Photography, Marketing, eCommerce and Product teams, you'll help prepare polished product imagery for our website, marketing channels and print materials. From retouching images and organising digital files to supporting the studio during shoots, you'll play an important part in keeping our creative work running smoothly.
This is an opportunity for someone with a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop who is keen to develop their technical skills in a commercial studio environment.
What you'll be doing
- Retouching product photographs, including cropping, straightening, colour correction, background clean-up and removing dust or blemishes.
- Working on more complex image edits involving composites and layers.
- Preparing and exporting images in the right sizes and formats for digital and print use.
- Checking finished images for quality and consistency with our brand standards.
- Organising images from studio shoots, maintaining accurate file names and keeping our image library tidy and easy to navigate.
- Helping prepare and tidy the studio and safely moving and returning products and props.
- Working with colleagues to meet deadlines and flag any issues early.
- Following company procedures for safe working and handling image files and confidential information.
What we're looking for
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with Adobe Lightroom or Adobe Bridge.
- Excellent attention to detail, including when working through repetitive tasks.
- Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to managing large volumes of image files.
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
- A willingness to learn, take feedback and develop your skills.
It would also be helpful if you have
- Experience in a commercial, eCommerce or photography studio setting, gained through employment, freelance work or study.
- Familiarity with image capture and cataloguing software.
- An understanding of colour profiles and preparing images for digital and print.
- A portfolio or examples of your retouching work.
