About the role
Grind is a coffee company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, we've expanded across London with cafés, coffee trucks and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery.
Our cafes and coffee shops are the beating heart of Grind, they are where it all began. We're a bustling hub in the heart of London's most iconic places, known for serving our specialty coffee and renowned bottomless brunches.
We think coffee can be a force for good. Whether it's through creating the UK's first compostable coffee pods, our plastic-free packaging or carbon-free shipping - we're on a mission to be the world's most sustainable coffee company.
In 2023, we created our charity, the Better Coffee Foundation, to undo the damage done by the global coffee industry - in our first year, we recovered 43 million pods' worth of ocean-bound plastic.
We are looking for driven and experienced floor staff who are passionate about the hospitality industry and progressing their career. The atmosphere at Grind is fast-paced and vibrant, with a strong emphasis on quality service. As a Grind floor staff member, you will be quick on your feet, confident in delivering our Grind steps of service and never mind getting your hands dirty!
To be eligible for this position, you will need to have previous experience of working in a restaurant (or similar) customer-focused environment and have a clear understanding of what it takes to deliver excellent customer service.
If there are any adjustments you need to help you bring your best self to an interview with us please let us know.

After opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, the brand expanded across London with cafés and a production coffee roastery. 2020 changed Grind beyond recognition, and today Grind coffee is available online - through our direct-to-consumer coffee business led by the UK’s first compostable coffee pods for Nespresso machines - as well as around the world as the global coffee partner for Soho House.
