SAXX Underwear Co. is looking for a Data Solutions Specialist to join the team based at our Vancouver office location.
THE DATA SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST IS….
Someone who can see how data, AI, and business needs fit together — and who takes ownership in turning that view into working solutions. You will work directly with teams across SAXX, drawing on systems including Snowflake, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), PIM, and Shopify, to design and deliver practical results. Some days that means executing a clearly defined brief; other days it means figuring out the right approach yourself, before anyone has written it down. This is a newly created position at SAXX, so the ideal candidate will be a pioneer — building the role as they go rather than stepping into something fully defined.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Solution Delivery: Take on business and technical problems — sometimes as a clearly defined brief, sometimes as a need that requires you to define the requirements and design the approach yourself. Develop practical solutions and deliver them to completion, including any reporting or analytics components needed to make them useful.
- Data-to-Business Translation: Act as the connective link between SAXX's data and the business problems it needs to solve, across systems including D365, Snowflake, PIM, Shopify, Amazon and B2B. Understand these systems well enough to translate what the data holds into what the business actually needs. Build and maintain semantic views in Snowflake so AI tools and connectors can put that data to direct use.
- AI Enablement: Make a data-and-AI mindset a normal part of how SAXX works — bringing it to your own projects and helping other teams build the skills and confidence to use AI in their daily work.
- Business Systems Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Business Analyst team on functional and business systems initiatives, contributing data and AI expertise to ongoing projects.
- Cross-System Proficiency: Develop working knowledge of D365 and other core systems used across the organization, consistent with the broader Information Systems team's approach of shared system knowledge.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Meet directly with end users to understand business needs prior to development, and communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar solution-delivery role, with a demonstrated technical or analytical foundation. Experience in a retail or consumer brand environment is a plus.
- Strong data fundamentals, including proficiency in SQL or an equivalent reporting/analytics background. Snowflake and PowerBI experience is a plus but not required — comfort picking up new platforms through self-directed learning matters more than prior exposure to this particular one.
- Practical experience applying AI tools — such as Claude — to real business problems, along with low code/connector platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, or Power Platform.
- Working knowledge of, or experience with, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is considered an asset.
- Ability to envision solutions and new ways of working — not everyone can look at a problem and see a different way through it, and this role needs someone who can.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage directly with end users and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Self-motivated and self-managing, with the ability to drive multiple concurrent projects forward independently while working well with others.
- Experience operating across multiple enterprise systems without specializing in the administration of any single one.
- Comfortable being first — this is a newly created role at SAXX, and the right candidate is energized by shaping how it works rather than expecting it to arrive fully defined.
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,
