About the role

Title: Creator Partnerships Manager

Reports to: Head of Growth

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 CDN/ Annually

Overview:

The Creator Partnerships Manager owns Vessi’s paid creator partnerships: finding the right creators, doing the outreach, negotiating the deal, and managing it through delivery and reporting. You’ll be the face of Vessi to creators, managers, and agencies, and they should want to work with us because of the relationship, not just the rate.

Reporting into the Head of Brand Partnerships, you’ll work alongside our Creator Community Manager, who runs our creator community and affiliate program. Affiliates who convert move up to you for paid deals, and paid creators can move back into the affiliate program when a deal ends. Success looks like paid partnerships that pay back, measured in Northbeam, content that keeps working in paid social long after the original post, and creators who renew because they want to.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Relationships

  • Find and vet creators across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, judging audience quality, content, pricing, historical performance, and brand fit.
  • Build a tiered portfolio of paid creators across micro, mid-tier, and macro, weighting investment toward the tiers delivering the strongest engagement and conversion economics.
  • Develop trusted working relationships with talent managers and agencies so Vessi gets first looks, better inventory, and preferred pricing.
  • Build long-term relationships with creators that extend beyond individual campaigns, and turn one-off collaborations into ongoing ambassador relationships.
  • Represent Vessi at creator and industry events to grow the brand’s network and reputation.

Deals and Negotiation

  • Lead initial conversations with creators, managers, and agencies, and run outreach through to a signed agreement.
  • Gather rates, understand deliverables and inventory, and negotiate usage rights, exclusivity, and paid amplification terms. Whitelisting and Spark Ads rights go in every deal by default.
  • Negotiate in a way that wins the deal and keeps the relationship. Creators and managers should feel Vessi is fair, straightforward, and worth prioritizing.
  • Structure deals with performance accountability built in: ROI targets, affiliate components, and renewal triggers tied to results.
  • Model expected campaign economics and prepare clear, numbers-backed deal recommendations for approval.
  • Partner with the Head of Brand Partnerships on high-value creators, long-term and ambassador agreements, large commitments, and complex deal structures.

Briefs and Creative

  • Develop briefs from marketing priorities, product focus, and past integration learnings, including objectives, key messaging, positioning, talking points, offers, and CTAs.
  • Work directly with creators to shape integrations that hit Vessi’s messaging requirements while staying true to their natural content style.
  • Review scripts, integrations, and content to make sure positioning is accurate, campaign requirements are met, and every post carries its FTC and Ad Standards disclosure.
  • Give feedback in a way that strengthens the relationship. Creators should leave every Vessi campaign wanting to work with us again.
  • Plan for content reuse across paid social, whitelisting and Spark Ads, and owned channels, so creator content works beyond the original post.
  • Submit briefs and key creative direction to the Head of Brand Partnerships for approval.

Performance and Reporting

  • Own reporting for paid partnerships: spend, revenue, ROI and ROAS, CAC, cost per view and per acquisition, and creator performance over time, measured in Northbeam rather than last-click alone.
  • Track relationship health alongside performance. Renewal rates, creator retention, and repeat partnerships are program KPIs, not just campaign ROI.
  • Recommend which creators to renew, scale, move into ambassador deals, or hand back to the affiliate program.
  • Use performance insights to decide which creators, messaging, offers, products, and partnership structures to scale.
  • Use AI tools for creator discovery, vetting, and reporting so your time goes to the relationships that matter most. We use Claude daily and expect you to as well.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, creator partnerships, or talent management.
  • A natural relationship builder: you have an existing network of creators, managers, or agencies, and a track record of partnerships that renewed because people wanted to keep working with you.
  • Proven track record managing paid creator campaigns from outreach through reporting.
  • Fluency in the current creator landscape: platform dynamics across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, creator tier economics, social commerce, and where the market is heading.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the emotional intelligence to close deals while strengthening the relationship.
  • Analytical mindset: able to model campaign economics and make recommendations backed by data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage many concurrent creator relationships.
  • Self-directed operator who brings forward recommendations, not questions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Curiosity, low ego, high agency, obsession with the work, and intelligence. These are the five things we hire for.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with influencer platforms, attribution tools, and AI-assisted creator discovery.
  • Affiliate program experience: tracking, attribution, commissions, and payouts.
