Position Overview
We’re seeking a Design Assistant to support the product team across men’s, women’s, and kids’ categories. Reporting directly to the Senior Designer, this role is ideal for someone early in their design career who is highly organized and execution-focused. You’ll support the design and development process from concept through production, helping ensure seasonal collections stay on track, organized, and aligned with brand standards and timelines. This role offers end-to-end exposure to the design and development lifecycle in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Reports to: Senior Designer
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Designer in executing seasonal design direction across all categories.
- Assist with tech packs, linesheets, and presentation materials.
- Maintain and update PLM systems, ensuring product information is accurate and current.
- Track development progress, sample status, and key milestones.
- Conduct trend, market, and competitive research to support product development.
- Prepare materials for fittings, meetings, and vendor communications.
- Assist in communicating design updates, feedback, and revisions to vendors and factories.
- Support fit sessions by documenting comments and tracking revisions with Design and Tech teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Production, and Merchandising to support timelines and deliverables.
- Manage multiple priorities with strong organization and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience or relevant internships in activewear, athleisure, or apparel design.
- Strong interest in performance apparel, fit, and fabrications.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop); PLM experience a plus.
- Basic understanding of garment construction and apparel development.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
