About Us

Bushbalm is The Bikini Line Skincare Experts, on a mission to be the go-to solution for ingrown hairs, dark spots, and razor bumps—everywhere on the body. We create effective, results-driven products that help people feel confident in their skin, from the bikini line to underarms and beyond.

Born in Ottawa, ON, we’ve grown from a bold idea to one of the city’s most exciting startups—securing a deal on Dragons’ Den and ranking among Ottawa’s fastest-growing companies. With a powerhouse eCommerce presence, a rapidly expanding retail footprint, and a strong network of waxing professionals, we’re disrupting the skincare industry in a big way.

At Bushbalm, you’ll join a fast-moving, passionate team where innovation, collaboration, and career growth go hand in hand. If you're ready to make an impact, we’d love to meet you!

Why Join Bushbalm?

  • Be part of a rapidly growing and innovative skincare brand making waves in the beauty industry.
  • Work in a collaborative and fun environment that values creativity and fresh ideas.
  • Gain strong opportunities for career growth and professional development.
  • Help expand a brand that is available in Ulta Beauty locations nationwide and 25,000+ waxing salons.

About The Role

We’re looking for a creative, organized Performance Creative Coordinator to help turn great ideas into compelling paid advertising content.

Reporting to our Senior Creative Strategist, you’ll help develop ad concepts, find relevant creators, write scripts and briefs, and coordinate content production from initial idea through final delivery. You’ll work closely with creators, designers, video editors, and our social marketing team to keep projects moving and bring fresh creative ideas to life.

You’ll also support hands-on content creation when needed, including filming product footage, recording voiceovers, and making straightforward video edits. This is an early-career role for someone who enjoys both the creative thinking and the organization behind effective advertising.

The starting salary range for this position is $50,000-55,000 CAD.

Responsibilities

  • Support creative research, concepts, and briefs: Research trends, competitor ads, and static formats to build the idea bank. Help turn these findings, customer insights, and creative direction into draft hooks, scripts, and briefs for UGC, video, and static ads with guidance from the Senior Creative Strategist.
  • Source and coordinate UGC creators: Research creators based on content quality, brand fit, and ability to execute a brief. Support outreach, availability checks, product shipments, and deliverable tracking.
  • Support creative production: Organize assets and feedback, follow up on outstanding items, and keep timelines and revision trackers up to date under the direction of the Senior Creative Strategist.
  • Review content against briefs: Review submissions for alignment with the brief and approved product messaging, flag missing footage or required changes, and prepare content for internal review.
  • Support content creation and editor briefing: Capture product demonstrations and supporting footage, record voiceovers, create quick, trend-led or brand-led short-form content, and help prepare briefs for video editors.
  • Maintain ad content library and prepare final assets: Keep creative files organized and up to date, and prepare approved assets for ad upload using consistent naming conventions.

Who You Are

  • Hands-on experience: Approximately 1–2 years in advertising or content creation, through a professional role, freelance projects, or consistently creating for a personal or UGC account. A portfolio demonstrates your writing, short-form content skills, and understanding of social platforms.
  • Strong writing skills: Able to develop compelling hooks, natural-sounding scripts, and clear briefs with creative guidance.
  • Comfortable creating and appearing in content: Natural on camera and recording voiceovers, comfortable shooting quick smartphone content, and aware of what grabs attention and stops the scroll.
  • Familiar with editing tools: Experience creating short-form content using CapCut, Canva, or similar platforms.
  • Curious and eager to experiment: Interested in social trends, AI creative tools, and learning what makes an ad drive action.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable tailoring writing and creative approaches to different audiences, from skincare consumers to professional estheticians.
  • Organized and proactive: Able to follow through on deliverables, ask questions, flag blockers, and apply feedback.
  • Interested in professional skincare and beauty: Excited to learn about estheticians, their businesses, and their clients.
  • Motivated to grow: Eager to build a career in marketing and social media, develop creative skills, and take on more responsibility over time.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Flexible work environment (remote/hybrid options where applicable).
  • Health and wellness benefits, including a lifestyle spending account.
  • Professional development opportunities to support career growth.
  • Free access to our award-winning products.
  • Inclusive and dynamic company culture with team-building events.

Project

To apply, please submit your resume with a link to your portfolio or 3–5 examples of creative work you’ve helped create. Examples can include short-form videos, ad scripts, creative briefs, static ads, or personal content. Briefly explain your contribution to each, such as concept development, scripting, filming, editing, or appearing on camera. Please include at least one example that showcases your on-camera delivery.
