Growth Creative Strategist

About Stardust

Stardust is a design-led reproductive health app used by over 2 million monthly active users. We blend scientific insights with wonder and ancient wisdom, offering lunar cycle syncing, friend syncing, a best-in-class pregnancy experience, and a partner option. We are a seed-stage company building with the ambition and complexity of a much larger organization.

About This Role

We are hiring a Growth Creative Strategist to shape how people discover Stardust, understand its value, and stay engaged. This role brings together three equally important strengths: creative strategy and audience understanding, project management, and performance analysis.

You’re equally curious about what makes an idea resonate and what makes it perform. You’ll guide creative across ads, landing pages, onboarding, paywalls, and lifecycle communications, bringing together our copywriters, designers, creators, and external partners to deliver cohesive, on-brand campaigns.

You can set a creative direction, move the work forward, and turn results into clear recommendations for what comes next. You understand how audience needs, platform behavior, and the customer journey should shape the work.

This role reports to the Head of Marketing and collaborates closely with brand, design, product, and engineering.

Roles & Responsibilities

As Growth Creative Strategist, you’ll own three critical pillars:

Shape Creative Strategy Around Our Audiences

Understand who we’re speaking to, what matters to them, and how to make Stardust relevant at every step.

  • Develop creative concepts and strategies grounded in audience insights, customer motivations, cultural trends, and business goals.
  • Identify new audiences and opportunities to communicate Stardust’s value across different needs, interests, and life stages.
  • Develop messaging frameworks by audience, awareness stage, and position in the customer journey, giving copywriters and designers clear strategic direction.
  • Translate strategy into actionable briefs defining campaign objectives, audiences, core messages, offers, calls to action, creative direction, and channel requirements.
  • Guide the experience from ad to destination and beyond, ensuring creative across acquisition, onboarding, paywalls, and lifecycle campaigns tells a cohesive story while serving each touchpoint’s purpose.

Bring the Creative Together

Turn strong ideas into finished campaigns through clear direction, thoughtful feedback, and organized execution.

  • Manage creative projects from brief through production, review, approval, and launch, coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and freelancers.
  • Bring together copywriters, designers, editors, and UGC creators with clear priorities, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Lead creative reviews and consolidate actionable feedback, ensuring messaging and design meet brand standards and fit the audience, format, and platform.
  • Own the creative calendar, timelines, and handoffs across paid media, conversion experiences, push notifications, email, and in-app popups, balancing quality and testing speed within agreed production budgets.
  • Establish and improve creative workflows, including briefing standards, asset organization, review processes, and campaign documentation.

Analyze Performance and Guide Optimization

Understand what’s working, investigate what isn’t, and turn the findings into better creative.

  • Review performance across ads, landing pages, onboarding, paywalls, and lifecycle campaigns to identify effective creative, audience differences, and points of friction.
  • Build testing roadmaps with clear hypotheses and success metrics, partnering with marketing and product to prioritize experiments and evaluate outcomes.
  • Translate performance data and customer insights into specific recommendations for messaging, offers, formats, design, and user journeys.
  • Connect creative engagement metrics to downstream outcomes, including activation, conversion, subscription revenue, and retention, while recognizing the limits of the data.
  • Guide what to iterate, expand, pause, or test next, sharing actionable findings and maintaining a record of learnings that informs future campaigns.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in creative strategy or performance marketing, at an agency or in-house, with examples of using creative and data to drive growth.
  • Strong audience understanding and creative judgment. You can evaluate a concept, visual, message, or user journey and explain how to make it more relevant, distinctive, and effective.
  • Analytical confidence. You can review campaign and test data, form useful hypotheses, and recommend practical next steps.
  • Experience managing creative projects across internal teams and external partners, with clear briefs, constructive feedback, and consistent follow-through.
  • Experience shaping landing pages, website funnels, onboarding, or other conversion experiences. Relevant website and ecommerce experience is welcome; app experience is a plus.
  • An understanding of how creative needs to adapt across platforms, formats, and stages of the customer journey.
  • Strong organization and independent ownership. You keep projects moving, anticipate dependencies, and balance creative quality with speed and business priorities.
  • Curiosity about culture, emerging formats, and what makes content resonate, alongside care for our audience and an interest in helping people better understand their bodies.

Bonus points

  • Direct experience working in Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager to evaluate performance and inform creative strategy.
  • Experience managing UGC creators and production.
  • Experience with lifecycle marketing, consumer subscriptions, health, wellness, or femtech.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation for this role is competitive and will be determined based on experience and skills.

At Stardust, we prioritize your well-being and work-life balance. Full-time employees enjoy:

  • Remote working flexibility
  • Flexible paid vacation and sick leave
  • Paid menstrual leave
  • Enhanced parental leave and other leave of absences
