The role

You scroll past hundreds of social posts and ads a day and you can tell within 3 seconds which ones were made by someone who understands the platform and which ones were signed off in a boardroom.

This job is about being the person who decides which ones get made.

What you would actually be doing

We are a paid media agency. We run the ads for ecommerce and DTC brands, and we make the creative that goes in them. You would sit between those two sides – Media Buyers and Designers.

Our editors and designers are in India, working UK hours. They are great at what they do and they have been with us for years. They do not need a boss, they need someone who tells them clearly what to make and why.

That person is you. A normal week looks like this:

  • Look at what the ads are doing. Which hooks are holding attention, which are dying in three seconds, what the click-through and conversion numbers are telling you.
  • Work out what to make next, and why. Research the brand, the customer, the competitors and what is working on the platform right now.
  • Write the brief. The concept, the hook, the format, the length, what the first three seconds have to do. Clear enough that someone who has never met the brand can make it.
  • Get it made. Brief the editors, answer their questions, review what comes back, push it when it is not right.
  • Get it signed off. Take it to the client, handle the feedback, get it live.
  • Source and brief creators for the UGC we run.
  • Sit on client calls and help on new business pitches.

Be clear about this before you apply

About three quarters of this job is organisation. Briefs, deadlines, chasing, keeping the queue moving so nobody is sitting idle and nothing goes live late. The other quarter is the thinking, and the thinking is what makes the rest worth doing. If you want a job that is purely ideas, this is not it.

You will not be making the creatives. We do not shoot and we do not produce. No cameras, no sets, no editing. You decide what gets made and you direct it. Somebody else builds it.

Who we are looking for

Someone who genuinely lives on social. Not someone who manages a brand account between other tasks, but someone who is on it constantly, has opinions about why things work, and probably posts themselves.

You will need

  • Twelve to eighteen months in a job where you have been close to creative for social or paid media. Content or social at a brand or agency where you briefed the work rather than only posted it, paid social sitting next to the creative, creator sourcing and briefing, or creative coordination owning a queue and deadlines.
  • Experience of working in an office or an agency environment. We are remote for now and you would need to be ok with that, so this is not a first job out of university.
  • A creative eye. You can look at six ads and tell us which one is wrong and why.
  • The ability to write down what is in your head so that someone else can build it.
  • Comfort with numbers. You do not need to run campaigns, but you need to be able to read what the ads are doing and act on it.
  • The right to work in the UK without sponsorship, and to be within commuting distance of London.

It helps if

  • You run your own account and have grown it. We will ask to see it.
  • You have worked with creators or influencers.
  • You have used Meta Ads Manager or TikTok Ads Manager, even just to look at results.
  • You can get into Premiere, Capcut or Photoshop enough to sense-check what comes back.
  • You take feedback well. Clients can be picky and so can we.

You'd enjoy this if

If you already have opinions about why one ad works and another does not, there are very few places that will let you test them with real money behind them and show you the answer within days.

Data usually sits with the media buyers, leaving the creative people guessing. Here you would see exactly what your decisions did. You get to be wrong quickly and right more often, which is how people get good at this.

We are sixteen people, so there is nowhere to hide and no layers between you and the work. As the creative side of the business grows, the thinking part of this role grows with it.

The practical details

  • Hours are 9.00 to 5.30, finishing at 5pm on Fridays. We do not operate flexible hours.
  • Fully remote at the moment. From some point in 2027 the whole company moves to two days a week in a central London office.
  • You will occasionally be at in-person client meetings in the UK.
  • 25 days holiday plus your birthday off.
  • Private medical insurance and a company pension.
  • £500 a year training budget.
  • Four weeks a year working from anywhere in the world, taken in one block, once you have passed probation.
  • Laptop and home office kit provided.
  • Socials on the first Friday of every month.

Strictly no agencies, and we are unable to sponsor visas at present.
