Creative Strategist
The role
About JSHealth
At JSHealth Vitamins, we help people feel their best through high-quality, science-backed formulations. We started in Australia, built a big and engaged community, and now we're growing fast in the US. Paid social is how most new customers meet us for the first time, and creative is what makes them stop and stay.
The role
You'll be the strategic brain behind our paid social creative in the US. You decide who we're talking to, what we say to them and how we test it. Then you brief our designers, editors and creators to bring it to life, and read the results to decide what comes next.
This is a hybrid role: part strategist, part creator. You'll set the creative direction, but you'll also get in front of the camera yourself to film talking-to-camera ads, product demos and routines, especially when we want to test a new idea fast. You'll also know exactly what makes a creator's take work, and how to direct them to it. You'll report to our Head of Growth and work side by side with our Paid Media Manager.
What you'll do
- Build our customer personas and angles. Define the distinct people who buy JSHealth (the stressed-out sleeper, the hair-loss worrier, the busy mom looking for energy) and the hooks, pain points and proof that land with each one.
- Run a high-volume creative pipeline. Write sharp briefs and scripts every week for UGC, statics, founder-led content, product demos and trend-led formats, so our designers, editors and creators always know what to make next.
- Get on camera yourself. Film talking-to-camera ads, product explainers, routines and UGC-style content, so we can test new hooks and angles quickly without waiting on a creator.
- Own creator direction. Brief our team who source UGC creators and influencers, guide them on what to say and how to say it.
- Design the testing roadmap. Plan structured tests on new angles, hooks, formats and personas. Read hook rate, thumb-stop rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS and new-customer CAC, then double down on winners and cut losers fast.
- Connect the ad to the landing page. When a new angle wins, work with our e-commerce team to make sure the landing page, offer and email or SMS follow-up all tell the same story.
- Keep claims compliant. Partner with our regulatory team to build a library of approved, FTC- and FDA-safe claims, so compliance shapes the creative instead of killing it.
- Stay ahead of the feed. Track competitors, trends and the Meta and TikTok ad libraries, and bring new ideas to the team before anyone asks.
This is you if...
- You have 3–5+ years in creative strategy or performance creative for a DTC, e-commerce, wellness or beauty brand (bonus if you’ve worked on supplements)
- You're confident and natural on camera, and you have ads to show for it
- You have a portfolio of ads that actually sold, and you can explain the thinking behind each one
- You write a hook that stops the scroll and a brief that a creator can shoot without a single follow-up question
- You treat performance data as the starting point for new ideas, not just a report card
- You've directed UGC creators or influencers and know how to get a natural, believable take
- You understand how Meta's algorithm uses creative to find the right people, and why creative variety matters
- You're fast and organized (Asana and Google Sheets are your friends), and you can keep a busy pipeline moving
- You care about work that's on-brand and tasteful, without sacrificing performance
Pay and perks
Salary: $90,000–$125,000 base, depending on experience, plus potential commission on creative performance.
We have a really strong range of benefits including comprehensive health insurance, a beautiful LA office full of snacks, free JS products, free access to our JSHealth app, exclusive discount codes for you, your family and friends, take your birthday off, and we love doing wellbeing team activities like yoga and pilates, but also team lunches!
How to apply
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Creative Strategist – [Your Name]" and include your portfolio and CV. Your portfolio should have three to four ads you were behind, including at least one where you're on camera, each with a line on the strategy and, if you can share them, the results.
Applications without ad examples won't be considered. We can't wait to see what you've got!
