Creative Strategist (E-commerce)
The role
Performance Creative / Multi-Brand D2C
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Primary Market: United States
About Anka Global
Anka Global is a multi-brand D2C ecosystem building and scaling consumer brands primarily in the U.S. market.
Our internal growth team works across multiple brands, categories and customer segments — combining brand strategy, creative production, performance marketing, CRO and e-commerce operations.
Creative strategy sits at the center of that system.
We're now looking for an experienced Creative Strategist who can take ownership of this function across our growing portfolio of brands.
About the Role
This is one of the most important roles in our growth team.
We're looking for a Creative Strategist who understands both why people buy and why advertising performs.
You will be responsible for turning customer insights, brand positioning, competitive intelligence and performance data into a continuous pipeline of creative ideas, angles, hooks and briefs.
But this isn't a role for someone who simply comes up with ideas.
You will own the process from
Research → Insight → Angle → Concept → Brief → Production → Launch → Performance → Learning → Next Iteration
And that learning doesn't come from Meta alone.
You'll work across the wider growth ecosystem — collaborating with Meta, TikTok, Google and other paid media specialists, CRO and Shopify teams, creator teams and the individual teams behind each brand.
Your job is to connect these signals and continuously answer one question:
What should we create and test next — and why?
You will initially work closely with the CMO, gradually taking ownership of a significant part of the creative strategy function.
What You'll Do
- Develop performance creative strategies across multiple D2C brands
- Deeply understand each brand, product, customer, offer and competitive landscape
- Research customer pain points, motivations, objections and buying triggers
- Analyze competitors, Meta Ad Library, TikTok, reviews, comments and other customer signals
- Develop new angles, hooks, concepts and campaign ideas continuously
- Turn strategic ideas into clear, actionable briefs for designers, video editors and AI Creative Operators
- Develop UGC concepts and briefs together with the UGC & Influencer Marketing Specialist
- Work closely with the Meta Ads Manager to understand creative performance and testing results
- Collaborate with TikTok Ads, Google Ads and other paid media specialists when relevant
- Use insights from different channels to identify new creative opportunities
- Work with CRO Specialists and Shopify Developers to understand landing-page behavior, conversion friction and opportunities
- Communicate directly with individual brand teams to understand their products, customers, priorities and market realities
- Maintain a structured creative testing roadmap for each brand
- Prioritize what should be produced and tested next
- Review creative output before launch and ensure it remains aligned with the strategy and brief
- Coordinate multiple creative projects across multiple brands simultaneously
- Track briefs, production, revisions, deadlines and deliverables
- Keep the creative pipeline moving without requiring constant follow-up from the CMO
- Bring proactive ideas, observations and opportunities to the team rather than waiting for tasks
What We're Looking For
U.S. E-commerce Experience — Required
This is important.
You must have previous hands-on experience developing creative strategy for e-commerce / D2C brands targeting the U.S. market.
We want someone who already understands
- U.S. consumer behavior
- D2C advertising
- Meta performance creative
- Offers and promotions
- UGC advertising
- Customer objections
- Direct-response principles
- The pace and volume required in performance marketing
General social-media or traditional advertising experience alone is not enough for this position.
Strong Performance Creative Thinking
You understand that a beautiful ad isn't necessarily a good ad.
You think in terms of
Audience → Problem → Insight → Angle → Hook → Message → Format → CTA → Result
You can look at performance data and use it to decide what should be created next.
You don't need to be a media buyer, but metrics such as CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS, thumb-stop/hold rates and creative fatigue should mean something to you.
Customer Psychology
You are genuinely curious about why people buy.
You know how to turn
- reviews
- objections
- frustrations
- desires
- product benefits
- competitor weaknesses
- cultural observations
into advertising ideas.
Excellent Briefing Ability
A great idea that cannot be executed isn't enough.
Your briefs should allow a designer, editor or creator to clearly understand:
What are we making?
Who is it for?
What is the angle?
What should the hook communicate?
What should the customer feel or understand?
What references should we use?
What are we testing?
High Creative Output
We operate multiple brands.
We're not looking for someone who needs a week to develop one “perfect” campaign.
You should be comfortable generating, prioritizing and testing many ideas while maintaining strategic quality.
Speed matters.
Operational Discipline
This is equally important to creativity.
You will manage multiple brands, briefs, tests and production workflows simultaneously.
We need someone who
- documents decisions
- tracks tasks
- follows deadlines
- follows up with people
- closes loops
- keeps projects moving
- knows what's happening across every active brand
You should be comfortable using project-management and communication tools such as Asana and Microsoft Teams.
A brilliant strategist who cannot manage their workflow will struggle in this role.
Multi-Brand Adaptability
One hour you may be thinking about a home-improvement customer.
The next, you may be working on an entirely different consumer category.
You should be able to quickly change hats while protecting each brand's unique positioning and customer psychology.
AI-Native Mindset
We expect you to actively use AI to make research, ideation and creative development faster and better.
You should be curious about emerging AI tools and understand how AI can support:
- customer research
- competitive research
- concept development
- scripting
- storyboarding
- creative variations
- production workflows
AI should increase your output — not replace your judgment.
How You'll Work With the Team
This relationship is important.
CMO
Sets broader brand and marketing direction with you.
↓
Creative Strategist — You
Turns strategy, customer insights and performance learnings into creative direction, concepts, testing priorities and briefs.

↓
Meta Ads Manager
Tests creatives and provides performance feedback.
↓
You
Interpret the learnings and determine what we should test next.
And the cycle starts again.
The goal is to build a continuous creative learning system, not simply produce more ads.
What Success Looks Like
- Every brand has a clear creative direction and testing roadmap
- The production team always knows what to create next
- Briefs are clear and actionable
- New angles and concepts continuously enter the pipeline
- Creative output happens quickly
- Performance learnings actually influence the next creative cycle
- Winning concepts are systematically iterated
- Losing concepts generate useful learning
- Projects and deadlines don't get lost across brands
- The CMO doesn't need to chase creative tasks
- Creative quality improves while output increases
Nice to Have
- Agency + in-house D2C experience
- Meta-first performance creative experience
- UGC strategy experience
- Experience with high creative testing volume
- Familiarity with Meta's evolving AI-driven advertising environment, including Andromeda/GEM
- Experience working directly with media buyers
- Experience managing designers/editors
- Copywriting or direct-response background
- Strong AI workflow knowledge
Why Join Anka Global?
This isn't a role where you'll spend years working on one product or execute disconnected briefs for dozens of agency clients.
You'll work across multiple U.S.-focused D2C businesses, see performance data directly and have the opportunity to influence the entire creative growth system.
You'll work closely with the CMO initially, with significant room to take ownership as the ecosystem grows.
We're looking for someone who eventually makes us say:
“Creative is under control.”
